Boca Juniors beat Central Córdoba 2-0 at La Bombonera. A. Romero opened the scoring in the 5th minute, and Enner Valencia added his first goal for the club in the 11th, with Boca resting several regulars ahead of their Copa Sudamericana second leg and still showing squad depth.

In financial terms, being able to rotate and still win at home matters during a congested Copa Sudamericana stretch. Based on what's publicly available, sustained deep runs in continental competition feed directly into broadcast revenue — something to judge over a multi-year horizon, not just this one result, with squad depth translating into revenue stability.

Valencia's first goal for the club at La Bombonera must have felt good, plain and simple. But what I want to know is how much of that terrace intensity was really there for a squad-rotation game. The mood on the terraces shifts with the stakes, so I'd read this one with that in mind, and the real temperature will show up in the next big fixture.

I've been following Boca closely because of the Sudamericana tie, and today's story was their squad depth holding up even with regulars rested. Going 2-0 up by the 11th minute made this feel calmer and more controlled than the final margin alone suggests, and the rotation players linked up well enough too.

Racing Club lost 1-2 to Huracan, a third straight defeat in the Clausura. Ortegoza's equaliser wasn't enough as Huracan scored late again, and the club itself acknowledged in an official statement that it "must keep looking for solutions" while sitting bottom of the table.
