KTM Wins Approval to Fix RC16 Engine Flaw, Targets Aragon for Repairs
KTM confirmed it has received approval from manufacturer association MSMA to correct a supplier-component defect blamed for a string of RC16 MotoGP engine failures. At Silverstone the four RC16 riders will still race under an interim, rev-limited setup, with the actual fix targeted for the next round at Aragon (August 28-30) under IRTA supervision. Once completed, the engines are expected to return to their original maximum rpm.
