Yamaha YZF-R9 Road Test: The Long-Awaited Supersport Built Around the CP3 Triple

The CP3 is the engine used in the MT-09 and Tracer 9, right? First time it's gotten a full fairing.

Would like the road-test article to cover more of the numerical detail too, like power and handling figures.

The R7 was a parallel-twin, so adding the R9's inline-triple has really deepened Yamaha's sport lineup at once.

It's praised as the long-awaited supersport, but I want to see coverage that digs into the price-versus-weight balance too.

The R9 dressing the CP3 in a full fairing — just imagining the sound and feel unique to an inline-triple already builds anticipation.
