In pure numbers, a hat-trick from a lead striker at J3 level feeds straight into his transfer market value. I can't see the full picture from outside, but he's a player worth tracking over multiple seasons, not just one game.
Over 7,000 at Alwin — that's everything right there. Building that atmosphere even in J3 is very Matsumoto, and hearing more encouragement than boos after a loss said something about the city's character.
I heard away buses full of Sagamihara fans stood out outside the stadium. It's not something the stats show, but Okita stayed pretty matter-of-fact after each goal — he clearly wasn't satisfied yet.
